Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz officially launched the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme, a great initiative. Its basic purpose is to provide affordable housing to the people of Punjab. This announcement was made on August 21.
The scheme assures the government’s strong commitment to delivering quality homes quickly to needy pakistanis. A key feature of the ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme is the provision of an interest-free loan of PKR 1.5 million. This loan is intended to help people buy 5 marla plots in urban areas and 10 marla plots in rural areas. Additionally, the scheme includes a three-month grace period during which no payments are required, making it easier for applicants to manage financially.
The Chief Minister highlighted the affordability of scheme that the monthly installment will be set at an accessible PKR 14,000. She also announced the launch of Pakistan’s largest solar program next year, which is expected to significantly reduce or even eliminate electricity bills for residents.
The ‘Apni Chat Apna Ghar’ scheme will be rolled out in all major cities across Punjab. The houses built under this scheme will include two bedrooms, a TV lounge, a bathroom, and a spacious kitchen, ensuring comfortable living for families.
