- Visionary Thinker: Iqbal concept of “khudi” (self) and “millat” (nation) inspired a generation of Muslims to strive for their own identity and sovereignty.
- Poetic Genius: Iqbal’s poetry, written in both Persian and Urdu, is celebrated for its depth, beauty, and revolutionary message. His verses ignited the hearts of millions and continue to inspire people around the world.
- Political Activism: Iqbal was actively involved in the politics of his time. He served as a member of the Indian Legislative Council and was a prominent figure in the All-India Muslim League.
- Advocate for Education: Iqbal emphasised the importance of education for the advancement of Muslim society. He believed that education was key to empowering individuals and communities.

Iqbal Day Celebration in Pakistan
A guard-changing ceremony was held at Iqbal’s mausoleum, attended by Rear Admiral Azhar Mahmood, Commander of the Pakistan Navy Central Punjab, as the chief guest. Admiral Mahmood laid a floral wreath, offered prayers, and inspected the guard of honor presented by the Pakistan Rangers and Pakistan Navy.
The Pakistan Navy took over the ceremonial guard duties from the Punjab Rangers, who completed their service. Later, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with Navy officers, sailors, and staff, also laid a huge tribute at the national poet’s tomb.
To mark the occasion, Pakistan observes a public holiday, and Iqbal’s birthplace, Iqbal Manzil, has been decorated for the celebration.
