Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) Celebrations in Pakistan with Religious Zeal and Zest

Today is 17th september, Islamic Date of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwaal. Today Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W), Birthday of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) is being celebrated with immense religious devotion in Pakistan and around the world today. It is the birthday of the Greatest Human Being ever to walk on this planet, our beloved Prophet (S.A.W). 

The day started with a 31-gun salute in Islamabad and 21-gun salutes in the provincial capitals to pay tribute to the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The federal government declared a public holiday, closing all schools, universities, and government offices for the occasion.

Special prayers were held in mosques, asking for the spread of Islam and praying for unity, progress, and the welfare of the Muslim community.

Streets, markets, and buildings across the country are beautifully decorated with lights, banners, and amazing displays in celebration of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

Importance of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W)

  • Honoring the Prophet: The primary purpose of this celebration is to express gratitude and admiration for Prophet Muhammad (SAW). His life serves as an inspiration and a guiding light for Muslims.

  • Community and Unity: This occasion creates a sense of unity and brotherhood among Muslims. It’s a time for people to come together, share their joy, and strengthen their bonds.

Traditions and Celebrations

  • Decorations: Mosques, homes, and streets are adorned with colorful lights, banners, and decorations.
  • Prayers and Recitations: Special prayers and recitations from the Quran are performed in mosques and homes.
  • Charity: Many Muslims perform charitable acts, such as donating to the needy or organizing community service projects.

  • Milad Naats: The recitation of Milad Naats, poems and songs in praise of the Prophet, is a common tradition.

Recite Darood

One of the most important tasks of this day is to recite Darood on our beloved prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H). Recite maximum darood on this day and show love to prophet (P.B.U.H)
