Large Oil, Gas Reserves Discovered in Sanghar

SANGHAR – The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has made a significant discovery of oil and gas in the Sanghar district of Sindh province. According to an OGDCL spokesperson, the Baloch Well-II has revealed 388 barrels of crude oil per day and 6.8 million cubic feet of gas per day. The drilling of Baloch Well-II began in February 2024, and the reserves were found after drilling to a depth of 3,920 meters.

It’s worth mentioning that on July 29, the Hungarian Oil and Gas Public Limited Company (MOL) also discovered oil and gas reserves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The discovery was made during the drilling of the Raz Gir-I well in the TAL block. Pakistan Oilfields Limited reported that this well is expected to produce 20 million standard cubic feet (MMscf) of gas per day and 250 barrels of crude oil per day.
