Punjab Approves PKR 50 BN for 9 Projects Including Apni Chahat Apna Ghar

Lahore: The Punjab government has approved nine development projects of allocated budget more than over PKR 50 billion. One of the project among them is named as “Apni Chahat, Apna Ghar.”

According to the details, the approvals were made during the 10th Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) meeting, led by Chairman P&D Board Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan. The projects span various sectors, including irrigation, urban development, school education, energy, and infrastructure, with a total budget of PKR 50,766.848 million.

Key projects include:

  1. Extension of Colony Protection Bund of Marala Barrage and Realignment of Tunnelwah Nullah in Sialkot District: PKR 3,162.289 million.
  2. Apni Chaat Apna Ghar Program: PKR 9,889.681 million.
  3. Chief Minister Punjab Schools Meal Program: PKR 6,011.228 million.
  4. CM Initiative for Agro-Forestry for Forest Waste Land: PKR 1,000 million.
  5. Chief Minister’s “Plant for Pakistan” Initiative: PKR 8,000 million.
  6. Aquaculture Shrimp Farming in Punjab: PKR 8,530.490 million.
  7. Chief Minister Roshan Gharaana Program: PKR 9,500 million.
  8. Rehabilitation of G.T Road from Quaid-e-Azam Interchange to Wagah Border in Lahore: PKR 3,282.450 million.
  9. Construction of an Underpass at Kachehri Rasulnagar Road Railway Crossing in Sheikhupura: PKR 1,390.710 million.

The meeting included Secretary P&D Board Dr. Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Dr. Nasir Iqbal Malik, and other senior officials from relevant provincial departments. Concluding, this is a great step ahead towards construction and development in pakistan.
