World Bank Delegation Visited Nadra Headquarters Islamabad

The high -level team of the World Bank, led by Vijayanti T. DESAI, has been to the national database and registration management (NADRA) headquarters to discuss Pakistan’s progress on major digital projects. The main precautions were paid to digital identity and economic growth to maintain the country’s movement to more digital communication. The President of Nadra shares the latest projects in the project to improve the (deep) digital economy that the World Bank provides (deep). The deep purpose of strengthening the Pakistan’s economy through digital improvement supports the development and use of digital identification systems.

The project is part of Pakistan’s broader plan to build a robust digital public infrastructure (DPI) that helps provide people with better access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and banking. The World Bank team reviewed NADRA’s plans for DEEP to ensure a smooth rollout across the country. The World Bank expressed its support for NADRA’s efforts and stressed that a robust digital identity system can boost Pakistan’s economic growth, improve government services, and promote digital inclusion. This collaboration demonstrates NADRA and the World Bank’s shared goal of building a robust digital system in Pakistan.

Projects like DEEP aim to help Pakistan become a leader in digital advancement in South Asia, enabling its citizens to fully benefit from the digital economy and setting an example for the entire region.
