Lahore: The Punjab Chief Minister’s Kissan Card registration has reached 725,000 or 0.725 Million farmers, with a goal to register 1 million by August 31.
Efforts to increase awareness through SMS are continuous and ongoing. Data for 315,000 farmers has been sent to the Bank of Punjab, and the Kissan Card will be available at tehsil-level branches starting September 1. Proposals are being considered to allow a 25% cash withdrawal facility.
Furthermore, applications for the Punjab Green Tractor Scheme and incentives for converting tube-wells to solar power will be available soon. The selection process for 1,000 agricultural graduates under the Chief Minister’s Punjab Internship Programme has been completed.
