Punjab launches “Apni Chahat Apna Ghar” Housing Scheme for 100,000 Families

Punjab Government has recently launched an exciting new project called “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” under the guidance of Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. This initiative aims to provide 100,000 apartments to people in six major cities across the province, which is a big step forward for Punjab’s housing sector.

The main aim of this project is to build affordable and eco-friendly homes for families earning less than PKR 60,000 per month, especially those who don’t already have their own homes. The cities benefiting from this program initially are Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, and Sargodha. Each and Every district in Punjab will see the construction of 3,000 houses under this scheme.

One exciting aspect of the plan is the construction of 3,000 apartments on Raiwind Road in Lahore. These apartments will cost PKR 1.5 million each, with the Punjab government providing a 60% subsidy. Families will only need to pay 40% of the total cost over five years in installments. It is a highly beneficial and economical project for the non affording individual. Punjab Social Protection Authority (PSPA) will be in charge of finalizing the rules and regulations for this scheme.
