CM Punjab Approves the 2600km Comprehensive Road Development Project of 150 Billion Dollars in Punjab

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi ordered an extensive road rehabilitation and expansion project covering 2600 kilometres throughout the province.

At a meeting presided over by CM Naqvi, a detailed report of the road improvement project was presented. The primary purpose of the plan is to construct 105 roads in various districts.

C&W Secretary Suhail Anwar confidently reported the progress of construction and improvement currently underway on some roads. According to the briefing, 104 road projects were underway and scheduled for completion within a year. At the meeting, it was announced that an estimated PKR 150 billion has, in fact, been set aside to build, expand and improve these roads throughout the province.

During the meeting, it was announced that 9 big road projects have been completed in various districts of Punjab and that progress has been made on 33 highways in different regions. Furthermore, a huge amount of funding has been budgeted for building 39 new roads and six projects under the Public Sector Development Program (PSDP). The Chairman of the planning and development board, the Secretary of C&W, local Government Minister Aamir Mir, and a number of other relevant authorities also attended the special meeting.
